Apologies

We are sorry to say there will be a delay in getting this website under way.

This is simply because so much time and energy is being gobbled up in closing and cleaning the store.

Please keep checking back and we will let you know when we are back.

artisus.co.uk will showcase and sell arts and crafts from the world to the world as well as selling various items, including art supplies.

We are setting up an eCommerce shop and you can have a preview of it by following the link at the left. However, please keep in mind that we have only just begun to write this part of the website.

Another section of the website will be galleries of art and/or craft, with one or more pages dedicated to each artist or craftperson. A slideshow can be used to demonstrate a portfolio of work already sold (provided photos have been taken before the work was sold). And thumbnail photos which popup to reveal large images of work currently for sale.

If you are selling

(Artists: there is no charge for getting you started with artisus.co.uk. We only take a commission if there is a sale.)

Website visitors look through the galleries and like what they see.

They then click on the thumbnail photo of the item they want to buy and this takes them to the page in the shop where they can make their purchase using PayPal.

When the money has cleared into our account we make an electronic transfer directly into the artist's or craftperson's account (if they are in the UK) or we pay them via PayPal.

The artist or craftperson packages and ships the purchased item to the buyer in a safe manner.

Hint: if you are an artist or craftperson, we suggest you take a photo of anything you sell. This will give you a digital portfolio and we can make a slideshow for you.

If you are browsing or buying

Go to the galleries by clicking on the link at the right hand side of this page.

At this time we have only a sample page to give an idea of how an artist's section might look like.

As the website develops, we will expand the list

Update: at the present we have roughly a half dozen artists who have expressed interest in this website.

Our first artist is Ian Boyd Walker. Click on his name or you can get to his page via the galleries link to your left.
